BabyBook is about providing a secure and friendly site for recording key moments in your childs first few years and sharing these
with family and friends.

I created the site for my first daughter, Ellie, as a means to keep family up-to-date with her
latest developments and news.
At the time there were a number of other sites out there that did some of what I wanted but not everything. For example Facebook is excellent at keeping people up-to-date with the latest news and photos but it doesn't keep a history of your status updates and also I don't trust the security on it (the settings keep changing, usually defaulted to open access and quite often you find yourself browsing someones photos who you've never met!). YouTube can do videos but lacks the blog, charts, etc. Flickr and other sites can do photos but once again don't have the other features required.
I created a website for Ellie in my spare time after she was born and given the lack of sleep, etc, it took about 6 months to get going :)
After getting it going and it was doing the job I wanted fairly well, I wondered if others might find it as useful as I did. I re-wrote it from the ground up, improving the look and feel as well as adding new functionality.
Since Feb 2011 it has been in beta testing with a small group of friends trying it out. The intention is to release soon to the general public and continue to improve the site.
I'm always keen to hear new ideas and ways to improve the site so please use the form below if you wish to provide comments/feedback.

- Photos module - create albums and upload photos, share these via the blog with family and friends.

- Weight and Height charts - record weight and height data for your child, view graphs compared to 25/75 percentiles.
- Milestones module - record key milestones in your childs development.
Future improvements...
- Integration with Facebook/YouTube/Flickr (any others?).
- Print and order photos via the website.
- Compare weight/height or key milestones between children.
- Download your full child's history, blog, photos, videos, weight/height data, ideal way to keep a record of your childs development.
